Introduction
Project Blue Book became the most famous official UFO database of the Cold War, yet its statistics satisfied neither sceptics nor believers. For sceptics, the project appeared to show that most reports could be explained as aircraft, balloons, astronomical objects, weather effects or misidentifications. For believers, the same files contained hundreds of cases that the Air Force itself never fully explained.
